Modern vehicles with stop-start technology, regenerative braking, or high electrical demand require either an AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) or EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery). We carry the full Neuton Power and Bosch LN-series DIN range.
Do not fit a standard automotive battery to a stop-start vehicle. Stop-start systems cycle the battery many times per trip during city driving. Standard batteries are not designed for this and will fail within months.
European vehicles (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, and others) often require Battery Management System (BMS) registration after replacement. We carry the diagnostic equipment to do this correctly — BMS registration is included in the fitment price for all applicable vehicles.

Every battery job at Manukau Batteries follows the same process — test first, replace what's needed, verify it's right before you leave.

Correct chemistry confirmed first
We confirm whether your vehicle requires AGM or EFB from the registration before sourcing anything. The wrong chemistry causes premature failure and may trigger BMS fault codes.

BMS registration for European vehicles
Most European vehicles require BMS registration after battery replacement. We carry the diagnostic equipment and include this in the fitment price. Skipping it reduces battery life by 12–18 months.

LN-series DIN range in stock
We carry the full LN1–LN6 range in Neuton Power AGM and EFB, plus the Bosch AGM range. Most common European battery sizes available same day.

Alternator test before fitment
A faulty alternator destroys AGM batteries quickly. We verify charging system output before fitting any replacement — protecting your 2-year warranty.
